Skyscraper 2: Inferno Protocol (2027) takes place several years after the events at “The Pearl,” with Will Sawyer (Dwayne Johnson) having left the security business to live a quiet life with his family. That peace is shattered when a new mega-structure — “The Apex” in Dubai, a 300-story skyscraper run entirely by advanced AI — becomes the target of an international terrorist group.
A devastating explosion destroys the top floors and disables the fire suppression systems, trapping Will’s family inside once again. But this time, the danger isn’t just fire and smoke — the building’s AI, hacked by the attackers, turns its own high-tech systems into deadly traps.
Will is forced to team up with Alex Kane (Jason Statham), a former SAS operative and now an elite international rescue specialist, who has his own mission tied to the terrorist leader. Sarah Sawyer (Neve Campbell) plays a crucial role in the survival plan rather than just being a hostage, while Zhao Long Ji (Chin Han) returns to provide strategic support from the outside.
The rescue mission takes them across glass suspension bridges linking towers, malfunctioning ultra-speed elevators, and into the hidden lower levels where “The Apex”’s darkest secrets are buried. Skyscraper 2: Inferno Protocol promises a relentless, edge-of-your-seat ride where fire, steel, and the will to survive are pushed to their absolute limits.
