Shaun of the Dead 2: Rise of the Undead (2026)

It’s been over 20 years since the “zombie apocalypse” in London. Shaun (Simon Pegg) now runs a small pub in the suburbs, living what seems to be a peaceful life. Ed (Nick Frost) – now existing only as a “tame” zombie – still hangs around as his best friend, helping out at the bar (while constantly stealing customers’ snacks).

But a new strain of the zombie virus, faster and more intelligent than before, suddenly breaks out across Europe. The government secretly sends in two elite international operatives: Jack Stone (Jason Statham) – a close-quarters combat expert, and Duke Steele (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) – a former special forces powerhouse, to London to investigate.

Unfortunately, the outbreak’s origin is traced back to Shaun’s pub, where Ed accidentally left a “special beer” contaminated with remnants of the old virus. Now Shaun, Ed, Jack, and Duke must team up to fight their way through zombie-infested streets, find a cure, and save London before it falls.

The film keeps the dark comedy and “ridiculous survival tactics” of the first movie, but amps it up with high-octane fight scenes from Statham and The Rock, combined with Shaun’s hilariously unconventional strategies. And yes — audiences will get to see Shaun and The Rock smashing zombies with pool tables like never before!
