A new case. A familiar mess. The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes’ Smarter Brother 2 brings back the eccentric brilliance of Gene Wilder’s classic comedy-mystery, blending quick wit, musical mischief, and pure absurdity into a hilariously unpredictable whodunit.

Years after finally stepping out of his brother’s shadow, Sigerson Holmes (Gene Wilder) has become a “sort-of” respectable detective in his own right — that is, when he’s not mixing up clues, suspects, and musical cues. But when London’s most valuable royal artifact goes missing and Sherlock himself is too busy to take the case, Sigerson leaps at the opportunity to prove once and for all that he’s the superior Holmes.

Unfortunately, he’s not alone. His loyal but bumbling assistant Sergeant Orville Sacker (Marty Feldman) returns, armed with enthusiasm and absolutely no common sense, while the irresistibly theatrical Jenny Hill (Madeline Kahn) reappears — this time with secrets of her own. Together, the trio bumbles their way through mistaken identities, spy conspiracies, and spontaneous song-and-dance numbers that make as little sense as they do harmony.

Directed and co-written by Gene Wilder, The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes’ Smarter Brother 2 is a gleeful parody of Victorian mysteries, complete with outrageous disguises, double entendres, and fourth-wall-breaking humor that only Wilder and Kahn could pull off.

Fast-paced, farcical, and full of heart, it’s a joyous return to a world where intellect meets idiocy — and somehow, against all odds, justice still prevails.

Because when it comes to solving crimes, the smartest Holmes isn’t always the most logical one… just the most entertaining.
