He’s prayed. He’s trained. He’s back in the ring. Nacho Libre 2 brings Jack Black’s beloved, stretchy-pants hero back for another round of outrageous lucha, heartfelt laughs, and divine redemption — proving once again that faith and foolishness make a heavenly tag team.

Years after hanging up his mask and settling into life as a humble cook and mentor at the orphanage, Ignacio — better known to fans as Nacho Libre (Jack Black) — finds his peaceful routine upended when a slick wrestling promoter arrives in town, turning lucha libre into a global streaming sensation. When the orphanage faces closure under new city regulations, Nacho realizes there’s only one way to save it: one final fight in the spotlight.

Reuniting with his wiry partner Esqueleto (Héctor Jiménez), now a self-proclaimed “fitness influencer,” Nacho sets out to train a new generation of masked misfits — all while wrestling with his own doubts about glory, humility, and the true meaning of purpose. Sister Encarnación (Ana de la Reguera) returns as the voice of reason (and temptation), challenging Nacho to find balance between ego and faith as he steps back into the ring, older, wiser… and just as ridiculous.

With jaw-dropping costumes, over-the-top wrestling stunts, and Jack Black’s signature mix of sincerity and slapstick, Nacho Libre 2 is a laugh-out-loud celebration of underdogs everywhere. Directed by Jared Hess, it delivers the same quirky heart and absurd humor that made the original a cult favorite — only bigger, bolder, and even more gloriously ridiculous.

Because when destiny calls… sometimes you have to answer wearing a cape, a mask, and a whole lot of elastic.
